As a native Chicagoan and son of an architect, it's only fitting that my first post feature Mies van der Rohe's first completed apartment building. This building named THE PROMONTORY is located in Hyde Park just west of the lakefront's Promontory Point. This building is now a cooperative with full time doorman. In both 2-bedrooms, notice the windows in the kitchens which is great for someone who cooks and is rare in modern high-rise apartments.
